Energy Saving Model Project in Hannover: Globally Unrivalled Industrial Building has been Inaugurated on June 1st

(Hannover, July 19th, 2011) The building is located in Hannover, just north of highway 65. It was built in 1959 by the company Telefunken as a second factory for producing televisions. After termination
of production, the building was purchased by a large printing company in the 1980s. In 1998 the company filed for bankruptcy leaving only a small part of the building in use by a shipping company until the year 2000. After that, the building's infrastructure was destroyed and overrun by vandalism. It was left an industrial ruin.

Solar Frontier Starts Production at World’s Largest CIS Solar Module Plant

Solar Frontier announced today that it has started commercial production on schedule at its gigawatt-scale Kunitomi factory, the world's largest CIS thin-film solar module production plant, located in Miyazaki, Japan. Launched only 16 months after breaking ground in September, 2009, the new factory will approach full capacity this summer.
